Munich – Bozen – Ferrara
from Germany to Italy
They started in the rain and cycled for hours , soaking wet, on mud. From Munich to Bolzano and further on to Ferrara. Rando Imperator crossed the Alps , four different countries ( Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy ) , taking over 100 cyclists along the route of Via Claudio Augusta and making them feel a bit like “emperors”. They started at dawn on May 1 and arrived in Ferrara the day after at Piazza Ariostea.
Each participant, whether they arrived in Ferrara or not, cycled breathing in the rain, swearing, gritting their teeth, sleeping on a bench or in a bed. Each of them chose their own way of being a randonneur. All of them will have a story to tell and a reason to smile. In their own personal way, they’ve all somehow succeeded.
In bici per un'Europa senza confini
Le Alpi attraversate in bici, 600km da Monaco a Ferrara: l’unica randonnée che attraversa quattro stati diversi. Dalla verde Baviera in Germania alle salite austriache del Tirolo, poi la Val Venosta in Alto Adige, Bolzano e la discesa a sud lungo l’Adige, passando per Trento, costeggiando il Mincio fino a Mantova, poi l’argine del fiume Po fino a Ferrara.
La Rando Imperator Monaco – Ferrara è la randonnée di 600 km prevalentemente su piste ciclabili lungo la Via Claudia Augusta, l’antica strada romana che collegava il Danubio al Po e all’Adriatico. Un tracciato unico per scrivere la propria storia e sentirsi Imperatori.
Partecipando a questa randonnée oltre al brevetto ACP potrai collezionare punti importanti per il Campionato Italiano: la Rando Imperator è iscritta infatti al calendario ufficiale di Audax Italia.
