Ten years ago it was a crazy idea, a bet, a vision, cycling from Germany to Italy in two days. Ten years later, traveling without borders is even more an urge, a dream, the true way to breathe bike and freedom. Rando Imperator turns ten in 2025, ten editions that have taken you to unexplored worlds: and we are not talking about gpx tracks, but it’s about moods, friendships, questions that you carried around from Munich to Bolzano and Ferrara. And they turned into mud-encrusted tears, smiles that opened that mud and brought out who you really were. It was another world, ten years, today perhaps the European randonnée seems easier, let’s be honest, but in the end every time it is always different: because of the weather, because of how you feel, because of who you will meet on the Via Claudia Augusta.
In spring, the trip that truly takes you somewhere else returns: Witoor’s European randonnée that connects Germany to Italy, passing through Austria and Switzerland. No loop, but as always three linear brevets between Monaco, Bolzano and Ferrara. And to celebrate this special birthday, in January we will launch the official 1,200 km loop route: from Ferrara to Monaco to Ferrara, 1-4 May 2025. The first part will be a completely new route to Monaco, the second will include the 600 km brevet that will take you back to Ferrara together with the other randonneurs. Registration for the 1,200 km will open after Epiphany.
From today, registrations open for the three brevets: 600 km from Munich to Bolzano and Ferrara, and two 300 km brevets (Munich-Bolzano and Bolzano-Ferrara), scheduled for Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May 2025. Register now, save on the participation fee: until 6 January 2025, registration is on special offer!
Do you need accommodation in Munich, Bolzano or Ferrara? Do you need a bus ride to Bolzano or Munich? You will find all the extra services in the registration form. Sign up here.
