ART. 1 – DATES 2024

Bike Night is a project made of five non-competitive cycling events at night time (from now on also defined as rides) which will take place in different Italian locations on the following dates:

• Bike Night Emilia-Romagna between the night of Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June;
• Bike Night Milano-Lago between the night of Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July;
• Bike Night Alpe Adria between the night of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July;

The project intends to promote the longest cycle paths in Italy and an alternative way of riding. The route is mostly on cycling path and it includes long segments of gravel roads.

Participation in the Bike Night is dedicated to all cyclists and to all people on any bicycle or vehicle moved by muscle power.

ART. 2 – ROUTES

Bike Night offers five different routes:

• Bike Night Emilia-Romagna from Ferrara to Lido di Volano 100 km and 10 mt-;
• Bike Night Milano-Lago (Arona) 95 km and 300 mt+;
• Bike Night Alpe Adria from Udine to Ugovizza 105 km and 800 mt+;

Each participant may choose the route which best suits him/her. The choice must be indicated when registering. However, it is possible, without incurring any penalty, to change the route chosen up until the closing of online registrations. This right is subject to the decision of the organisers and can be curtailed for technical or safety reasons.

The routes will be sign-posted but each rider should follow the “road-book” and/or the GPS route that will be sent via mail to each subscriber during the week before the event.

ART. 3 – PARTICIPATION

Bike Night is open to all participants of both sexes and of all ages. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Bike Night is open to all cyclists, Sport Clubs members and individual cyclists.
Bike Night is open to all cyclists and all people on any type of bicycle or vehicle pushed by muscle power.
Each participant is obliged to stop at each refreshment point.
The maximum permitted speed is 25 km / h.

ART. 4 – HEALTH AND MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

Each cyclist will be responsible for having been subjected to medical qualifying examinations to perform sport activity and will also arrange their own personal insurance against any harm caused to themselves and others as provided for by DM 04.26.2013

I DECLARE: under my own responsibility, to be in possession of a health certificate attesting my excellent medical/physical condition and my ability to carry out any sport or physical activity, including cycling. I also declare that I have not been prevented from or advised against the performance of any sport or physical activity based on medical restrictions or limitations.

ART. 5 – STARTING TIMES

All single Bike Night depart at 12:00 pm.

ART. 6 – SAFETY AND RESPECT OF THE RULES OF THE ROAD (Codice della Strada)

Bike Night is a non-competitive cycling event at night time. Part of the route is open to traffic and with no artificial light.
All cyclists must therefore respect the Rules of the Road for cycles.

Below are given some of these rules:

• Wear the helmet;
• Be equipped with visual signaling devices;
• Out of the towns by half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise and in the tunnels velocipede driver is obliged to wear the vest or suspenders reflective high visibility;
• The transport of children on cycles must be done by proper equipment.

ART. 7 – KIT

All cyclists must carry a puncture repair kit and other essential tools for small repairs.

ART. 8 – REGISTRATION

In order to ensure that the event proceeds in an orderly and safe manner, the organisers reserve the right to close registration (giving due notice) once the maximum number of participants established has been reached.

ART. 9 – REGISTRATION FEE

Participation in the event is permitted only to those who have paid the registration fee and correspond in the categories mentioned in Art. 3. The registration fee can be paid online or in place the day of the event if the online registration had not reached the maximum number of participants.

During the event, cyclists who have not registered may not join the ride, at risk of being removed from the route. In case of accidents, they will be held responsible for any damage caused.

Cyclists who have been disqualified by their federation or club for doping or any other reason, will not be admitted.

The organisers of Bike Night may, at any time and at their own incontestable discretion, with no need to provide any explanation, decide whether or not to accept any registration.

The registration fee, regardless of the amount paid, includes:

• RACE NUMBER for your bicycle;
• GADGET of the event;
• ROAD BOOK including details of the routes and food stops;
• GPS route;
• FOOD STOPS in varying numbers according to each route;
• BREAKFAST at the finish line;
• GADGET at the finish line;
• MEDICAL ASSISTANCE by a qualified staff;
• MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE by the staff.

All foreign participants and Italians who are not members of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) or other cycling clubs (membership of other sports such as triathlons, athletics, etc. is not valid) are encouraged to obtain personal insurance against damage to themselves and to others.

9.3 – QUOTA DI ISCRIZIONE BIKE NIGHT ALPE ADRIA

Si applicano le seguenti tariffe:

  – Iscrizione early bird (prima settimana di apertura iscrizioni) = 32,5€
  – Iscrizione base = 37€
  – Iscrizione ultime settimane = 42€
• ISCRIZIONE IN LOCO € 50, valida dalle 21:00 alle 23:30 del 20 luglio

ART. 10 – TOURIST SERVICES

The organization, composed by Witoor srl, cooperates with local agencies to provide tourist services connected to the Bike Night events.

Coach transfers can be booked only online on www.bikenight.it webpage using the registration form. The organization will deal with the Companies that provide the services.

In case of any problems it has to be communicated to the Event Manager on site.
Any complaints has to be reported within 10 days from the event.
No refunds will be given in case of no-shows.

The extra services transfers are provided for cyclist with their bikes. The organization do not take any responsability for any bike damage. It will be in the care of the owner to ensure that the bicycle is loaded and affixed securely and correctly.

ART. 11 – PAYMENT METHODS

The following payment methods are acceptable:

• bank transfer to Witoor Srl

• credit card only for online payments on www.bikenight.it

Cheques will not be accepted.

ART. 12 – VALIDITY OF REGISTRATION

Registration can be considered valid only once online registration has been completed and the entire fee has been deposited.

ART. 13 – SUBSTITUTIONS OR CANCELLATIONS

Substitutions are not permitted nor is it possible to postpone your registration until the following year.

If an entrant is unable to participate in the event, he/she will be entitled to the refund of the registration fee, only if he/she sends a written request by email to info@bikenight.it, within 20 days before the event.

The email must contain the following information:

• name, surname, telephone number and registration date;
• copy of receipt of payment which shows the date payment was made;
• IBAN code of the bank account which should be refunded.

ART. 14 – REGISTRATION CHECK AND DISTRIBUTION OF RACE NUMBERS

The organization will communicate the mode and place regarding a specific Bike Night within the month before the individual event.

ART. 15 – LATEST TIME AND ASSISTANCE

Participants to the individual Bike Night depart all together at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
The arrival time limit for each Bike Night is scheduled at 10:00 am on Sunday.

During individual Bike Night it is guaranteed mechanical and medical assistance. Mechanical assistance will be guaranteed by the staff on site in the time needed to reach the place where intervene, that could be lengthen due to other interventions.
Where a participant is not in conditions to continue pedaling, the recovery assistance is guaranteed.

ART. 16 – OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES OF FOOD STOPS AND CHECKPOINTS

According to the route chosen, checkpoints and food stops will be open at a certain time considering the average speed of 25 km/h and will be closed considering the average speed of 10 km/h.

ART. 17 – GADGETS

Participants subscribed in Bike Night will receive a welcome gift upon departure.
Participants who arrive until the finish line will receive a Finisher gadget.

ART. 18 – COMPLAINTS

Any complaints should be sent to the organizers by email: info@bikenight.it within 10 days after the end of the single Bike Night.

ART. 20 – CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT

Should the event be cancelled for reasons of force majeure, the amount paid to the organization will not be refunded.

ART. 21 – VARIATIONS

The organization reserves the right to make changes to the regulations at any time. The www.bikenight.it website is the only official source of information regarding the event.

ART. 22 – APPROVAL, CONSENT, AUTHORIZATION, etc.

To participate in Bike Night, in any of the forms provided for in these regulations, each participant:

– acknowledges that he/she has read, approved and accepted every part of these regulations;
– guarantees a correct and civil behaviour before, during and after the event;
– declares to be in good physical condition and to have undergone a medical examination for this leisure cycling event or general bike racing, providing the organization with the broadest indemnity for any personal injury or damage that may be incurred as a result of the participation in the event;
– consents to the use of his/her data, even for commercial purposes, as set out in the provisions of the Italian Privacy Act No. 196 of 30/06/2003;
– grants the organizers full use, as permitted by law, including for profit, of all video footage, photographs, etc. taken during the event, also giving them the right to supply such images to third parties.

This authorization is to be considered indefinite and without territorial limits around the world, for use in various publications and films, including, by way of example and without limitation, promotional and/or advertising material of any type. The organization may also cede to third parties and their institutional and commercial partners the rights of use specified herein.

The organization and its partners accept no responsibility for accidents or damage to persons or property, which may occur before, during or after the event or as a result thereof. Moreover, the organization reserves the right to exclude from the event any cyclists who are guilty of misconduct before, during and after the event.

ART. 23 – PROCESSING AND REGISTRATION OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data of all participants will be processed and registered by the following companies:
